Don Colabella

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer

Don has a long background in heavy construction, commercial and residential building. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from Newark College of Engineering, now known as New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Prior to CIS, he was an executive with several prominent New York City contractors and was actively involved in the management of major construction projects in the New York metropolitan area.

Don served as President of CIS until 2000 when his role changed to Chief Executive Officer.

Chris Colabella

Co-Founder and President

Chris had a background in finance before co-founding Construction Information Systems in 1991. She developed the operations of the company including research and reporting, marketing, and accounting before being promoted to President in 2000. She now oversees all divisions of CIS and is in charge of strategic planning and new product development.

Alan Concha

Vice President and Controller

Alan has been with Construction Information Systems since 1999, responsible for all accounting functions of the company. Prior to joining CIS., Alan was Senior Vice President of Finance for Meehan Tooker, Inc. a leader in the graphic arts commercial lithography industry. In 1986, he was instrumental in leading a leveraged buy-out by management of Meehan Tooker from its publicly traded parent company, John Blair & Co. The resulting company was subsequently sold to Applied Printing Technologies (APT) (a Mort Zuckerman owned company) in 1997.

Alan holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also has postgraduate training in Finance and Taxation from various institutions.

Charlene Sperger

Vice President of Operations

Charlene joined the project research department at CIS in 1996 and quickly worked her way up to Research Supervisor and then to Manager of Operations by 1999. Charlene has served as Vice President of Operations since January 2007, overseeing more than half of all CIS employees.

She and her division are responsible for hunting down and inputting all of the project information that is reported daily by CIS Leads, as well as entering and updating company profiles on CIS C-Source, and handling all client project research requests.

Charlene started her career with CBS, Inc. in New York City, first as the Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Business Affairs and later as the Administrative Assistant to the President of the CBS Broadcasting Group.

Sue Bennett

Clients Services Manager

Sue has been the first point of contact for our clients since joining CIS in 1997. Her expertise and communication skills are invaluable assets when working with our clients, helping them with account changes/updates, or with technical support. She also acts as liaison for new business and the Sales Department. Sue takes ownership of every call and email she handles and carries it to a solution which is satisfactory to both our company and our clients. As Client Services Manager, she imparts this work ethic and policy to her staff, maintaining the level of excellent and reliable client care unique to CIS.
